In the back of the exposed garage, in a cardboard box with black mould, the draft of an application to the Tudor Trust to extend the Assistant Archivist's post, while the new conference centre - not yet open - found its feet and began to generate income through which the post could ultimately be funded by PETT. It was early in the Trust's move to an austerity economy, and Trustees took the decision that PETT couldn't afford to extend the Assistant Archivist's position on the Trust's resources.  The grant didn't come, and the Trust released her early from her contract. It's interesting how I represented the Archive and Study Centre in 2001.
